The Big Lebowski (1998)
ATRM explore the strikes and gutters of the Coen Brothers' cult classic.
I’m the dude. So that’s what you call me. That, or his dudeness, or Duder, or El Duderino if you’re not into the whole brevity thing.
In a case of mistaken identity, The Dude is taken on a crime-ridden odyssey through the underbelly of ‘90s Los Angeles. He meets weird and wonderful characters along the way in a haze of white russians, bowling & Creedence… but all The Dude ever wanted was his rug back.
The Big Lebowski was not what the film world was expecting from The Coen Brothers after the success of Fargo. It took a few years to grow but it now has a fanatical following thanks to a dynamite script and incredible performances all round – particularly Jeff Bridges as The Dude.
