Martin Scorsese’s The Departed was released in 2006, and went down as an instant gangster movie classic. A remake of Hong Kong thriller Infernal Affairs, it tells the tale of an undercover Boston cop and his efforts to uncover a mobster informant in his department, and finally won Scorsese that elusive Oscar.
